As endorsed in the BACF Board meeting held on 22 July 2013, the first cycle of BACF grants adding up to US$ 100,00.00 (One Hundred Thousand United States Dollar) was awarded as grants from BACF and US$ 15,000.00 (Fifteen Thousand Dollars) and the maximum ceiling for an individual grant to be awarded under BACF under the first cycle.

A total of 26 proposals was received by Baa Atoll Conservation Fund (BACF) upon its Invitation for Call for proposals. Out of the 26 proposals 14 proposals were shortlisted BACF Board for approval from which 7 proposals were given the green light for funding by the BACF Board.
